Fifty Shades Of Grey Actress Dakota Johnson OPENS Up On Her Battle With Depression: “I’ve Struggled Since I Was Young”

Dakota Johnson rose to fame with Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy opposite Jamie Dornan. The film did really well at the box office and took her career to new heights. May is considered as Mental Health Awareness Month and talking about the same, Fifty Shades Darker actress opened about her struggle with depression.

Talking to Marie Claire, Dakota spoke about the current condition of the world and how it bothers her and said, “My brain moves at a million miles per minute, I have to do a lot of work to purge thoughts and emotions, and I am in a lot of therapy.”

Fifty Shades Of Grey actress then revealed that she has been taking help from professionals since her teenage years. I’ve struggled with depression since I was young—since I was 15 or 14,” Johnson said. “That was when, with the help of professionals, I was like, Oh, this is a thing I can fall into. But I’ve learned to find it beautiful because I feel the world. I guess I have a lot of complexities, but they don’t pour out of me. I don’t make it anyone else’s problem.”
