Jennifer Lopez‘s song Get Right is loved by a large number of people. The song which released back in 2005 still makes the people groove. And who can forget that moment in the song in which JLo shows her killer dance moves wearing a silver and grey outfit? Be it the song or the music video, it still has a great impression on the mind of fans.
But do you know JLo used a background singer for the song? So many of us actually didn’t know this until that background singer herself revealed it in a recent interview.
Y’Anna Crawley is the name of the background singer who helped Jennifer for the song and she revealed it during a recent YouTube episode of The Terrell Show.
“That’s me on the background…that’s my voice singing that part.” she said while singing the hook of Get Right.
This obviously left Terrel shocked who asked, “Not on the actual record, (right)?”
But Y’Anna clarified, “On the record. That’s me. That’s me singing that song. I’m doing all her backgrounds on that song,”
But it definitely made her huge money. So much so that she bought herself a first diamond ring with it. “That was my first big check. When I got that check, I said ‘Oh, this is what you get for singing background?’ I bought my first big diamond with that check. Like a diamond ring. It was nice, too.”
