In fact, the top spot among the highest-grossing Indian films of 2025 is held by an all-time blockbuster, Dhurandhar. It is leading the first spot by a considerable margin, with its current total standing above 1100 crore gross at the worldwide box office.
Speaking industry-wise, Bollywood has six movies in the top 10 highest-grossing films of 2025 at the worldwide box office: Dhurandhar, Chhaava, Saiyaara, Coolie, Mahavatar Narsimha, and Housefull 5. Kollywood has one film on the list: Coolie. Tollywood has one film in the form of OG. Even Sandalwood and Mollywood have one film each with Kantara Chapter 1 and Lokah Chapter 1 – Chandra, respectively.
Dhurandhar tops the charts!
As mentioned above, Dhurandhar is ruling the charts. Riding on an extraordinary word of mouth, the film surpassed expectations by miles. In 26 days, the magnum opus has amassed a mind-blowing 1140.31 crore gross at the worldwide box office. Since it refuses to slow down, the final collections are expected to be above 1250-1300 crores.

Kantara Chapter 1 and Chhaava among the top three grossers of 2025
Kantara Chapter 1 is holding the second spot. The film had solid pre-release buzz, and further, it enjoyed favorable word of mouth on the ground level, which resulted in a massive collection of 845.44 crore gross. Chhaava has secured a third spot on the list, with its blockbuster collection of 827.06 crore gross.
Saiyaara and Coolie are in the top 5 with a 500 crore+ sum
Saiyaara is the surprise addition in the fourth position. Released amid decent expectations, the romantic drama exceeded everyone’s expectations, performing well both in India and overseas. It minted a whopping 570.67 crore gross. The fifth position is held by Coolie. Despite mixed reviews, Kollywood magnum opus raked in 516.93 crore gross globally, due to the buzz of the Rajinikanth-Lokesh Kanagaraj combo. All remaining movies grossed below 500 crores.
