Two new films – The Roommate and Sanctum – entered the Top 5 North American box-office chart.

Screen Gems’ ‘The Roommate’ made its debut at the top with a take of US $15 million in the Super Bowl weekend. Universal Pictures’ ‘Sanctum’ debuted at the second spot with a gross of $9.4 million.

Paramount’s No Strings Attached dropped one place from the previous weekend to come in third. It added $8 million to its kitty in its third weekend to take its 17-day total to $51.4 million.

The King’s Company moved one step up – from no. 5 to no. 4. In its eleventh weekend, the flick grossed $7.7 million so that its total went up to $83.5 million. Rounding off the Top 5 chart was Columbia’s The Green Hornet. It fell from no. 4 to no. 5 in its fourth weekend, adding $6 million to take its 24-day total to $87.1 million.
