The Conjuring: Last Rites has kicked off the fall season with a bang. It recorded one of the biggest first Mondays among horror movies and successfully surpassed the domestic hauls of five Conjuring Universe movies in under five days. The Conjuring 4 box office collection day 4 in North America

Michael Chaves’ The Conjuring 4 collected a franchise record $5.7 million on its first Monday at the North American box office. It is the sixth biggest Monday of all time for any horror movie at the domestic box office. It is only under A Queit Place 2’s $9.5 million, IT’s $8.8 million, Sinners’ $7.8 million, Beetlejuice 2’s $6.2 million, and US’s $6 million first Monday gross.

The Conjuring: Last Rites opened with $84 million at the domestic box office. The domestic total has now risen to $89.7 million in just four days. The R-rated horror movie is on track to hit the $100 million milestone soon. It will hit that mark ahead of its second weekend.
