The Malayalam industry has been celebrating its brilliant journey at the box office, making a mark globally as well as domestically. The survival drama from Mollywood has now claimed the top spot for the highest-grossing film February 2024 release in India. In order to occupy the number 1 throne, the film has surpassed every single language film released in February 2024.
Total 14 Films From 5 Industries
In the month of February, Bollywood offered three releases – Shahid Kapoor & Kriti Sanon’s Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Yami Gautam’s Article 370, and Vidyut Jammwal‘s Crakk.
Apart from the Hindi releases, there were four releases from the Malayalam Industry in February. These were Premalu, who clashed with Anweshippin Kandethum, Bramayugam, and Manjummel Boys.

There was only one Kannada release in February titled Ondu Sarala Premakathe. Three Telugu releases were Yatra 2, Eagle, and Ooru Oeru Bhairavakona. There were three Tamil releases as well – Lal Salaam, Lover, and Siren.
Highest Grossing Film Of February
With over 117 crore gross collection, the Malayalam film Manjummel Boys has crossed the collection of every single film that was released in February and has achieved the number 1 spot in the list of highest-grossing February 2024 films in India.
17% Higher Than Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya
Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s robot rom-com was released on Valentine’s Day weekend on February 9 and opened at 7.02 crore at the box office. Meanwhile, Manjummel Boys, released in Malayalam on February 22, opened at 3.40 crore. Overall, while TBMAUJ hit 100 crore gross, Manjummel Boys earned 17% higher – 117 crore gross.
