Hrithik Roshan has attained the position of box office supremo with his latest superhero flick Krrish 3. The film that had earned 68 crores till the conclusion of its opening weekend (Day 1 – 24.25 crores, Day 2 – 21.60 crores, Day 3 – 22.15 crores) raked up a mesmeric 35.91 crores on its fourth day, elevating the domestic total of the film to 103.91 crores at the box office.

With that the film has surpassed the humungous opening day collections recorded by Shah Rukh Khan starrer Chennai Express which scored as the highest collections a film had earned in a day. The first day collections of Chennai Express rested at a mammoth of 33.10 crores but now Krrish 3 holds the record of the highest a movie has collected in a single day with its 36 crores.
The film has almost neared the record of SRK’s Chennai Express, which entered th distinguished 100 crore club in 3 days (plus paid previews) which Krrish 3 failed to surpass given the festivities of Diwali which hindered its growth of Sunday. The film however leveled a newer record of beating Salman Khan’s Ek tha Tiger which made it to the club in 5 days. Standing at the second fastest entrant into the coveted club the film is the 24th joinee of the 100 crore club. Krrish 3 is expected to smash more records at the domestic box office in the course of its lifetime run.
