Join UsHumpty Sharma Ki Dulhania starring Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan in lead roles opened to a good occupancy at the box office. The film had a good occupancy of 50-55% at the multiplexes in the morning shows, which is quite decent. The romantic comedy is expected to soar by the late evening. Getting a good screen count of 2200, the film has wide scope to make a good business considering it is a solo release this week.
HSKD has created enough pre-release buzz, however, the only glitch for this film could be the heavy rains in Mumbai that may hamper the footfalls today. Overall occupancy in the North circuits such as Delhi and Punjab was excellent for the morning shows. Considering the previous hits that Alia and Varun have given, the duo have a huge fan following and thus their star quotient will be an added advantage for the film.
A good opening figure is expected from this Dharma productions film. Watch this space!
