Murder 2 an Chillar Party

Murder 2: Second week box-office (July 15-21)

Murder 2 got lesser shows last week than it deserved, looking to its first week’s performance, it still managed to collect excellent figures in the second week, considering its medium budget and its extraordinary opening week’s collections. This, in spite of the fresh opposition of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. In its second week, the Murder sequel collected Rs. 6.02 crore from 382 cinemas. Its per cinema average was Rs. 1,57,687. Of course, its all-India total was approximately Rs. 9-10 crore.

Chillar Party: Second week box-office (July 15-21)

Chillar Party could not do much in its 2nd week. Except for a few cinemas, the children’s film failed to create much of an impact. It collected Rs. 1 crore from 147 cinemas in the second week. It has been exempted from payment of entertainment tax in Maharashtra and that may ensure that it runs for a couple of more weeks in the state. Even otherwise, there aren’t any major releases for two weeks now as Ramzan will set in.

Delhi Belly, Bbuddah and Transformers: Third week box-office (July 15-21)

Delhi Belly (Hinglish & dubbed) collected Rs. 2.5 crore in its 3rd week. Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap collected Rs. 25 lakh from 51 cinemas in 3rd week, averaging Rs. 49,025 per cinema. The Amitabh-starrer is now on its way out from most of the centres. Transformers: Chand Ka Andhera (dubbed) and its original English version, Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, collected approximately Rs. 41 lakh from 54 cinemas in its third week.
