Join UsOn its opening day, Force 2 has collected 6.05 crore at the Box Office. Considering the fact that this is an action flick which usually has a chance to collect better collections on its opening, one expected more from Force 2. As a matter of fact for a film of this scale and budget, an opening day of 8-10 crore would have been a good start. The makers have mounted the film on a very good scale and the promos too gave a clear impression that this one is for the big screen. However, the collections aren’t the kind that would make those who have backed it breathe easy as yet.
When compared to other action flicks of John Abraham and Sonakshi Sinha, this is how the film currently stands:
Rocky Handsome – 5.39 crore
Akira – 5.15 crore
Force – 5 crore
Force 2 – 6.05 crore
If not for the demonetization factor, the film could well have collected a couple of crore more. However, the makers took a conscious call to go ahead with the release. One can’t blame them either since there is a biggie releasing every week from this point on.
Next couple of days will decide how the decision will indeed work out for all involved with the film.
