Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw Box Office Day 1: Yet another week, yet another Hollywood biggie making a mark at the Indian box office. A couple of weeks back it was The Lion King and this week it’s the turn of Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. The Hollywood franchise has been quite popular in India and though the last one had missed hitting the 100 crores mark, it was still a good success nevertheless.

Now the makers of the latest instalment, albeit as a spin off with just two major characters from the series, would be hoping that it is back to finding a spot in the 100 Crore Club with this one.

It could well reach there too, what with Friday numbers turning out to be 11 crores*. The collections are on the expected lines as unlike an Avengers film, this one has a relatively restricted market in India and is primarily been endorsed by the youth. Since you don’t really expect a huge deal of family audiences to step in from Day One itself, what mattered was whether a double digit score came calling or not.
