Except for the blockbuster success of Teja Sajja’s HanuMan, none of Tollywood’s noteworthy releases in 2024 have managed to emerge as a success at the box office. Speaking about Ravi Teja’s Eagle and Mammootty-Jeeva’s Yatra 2, both biggies have failed to meet expectations and couldn’t even touch 50 crores gross with their combined collection. Eagle’s reception & worldwide box office update
Ravi Teja isn’t having the best of the time in his career at ticket windows. All his recent films have flopped at the box office. Speaking about his latest release, the film was released on 9th February. Upon its release, the biggie received mixed reviews from critics, and even word-of-mouth wasn’t in favor. As a result, a disappointing result could be seen.
As per the latest collection update, Eagle has earned 24.10 crores net at the Indian box office so far. In gross, it equals 28.43 crores. Combining it with the overseas collection of 3 crores gross, the film stands at 31.43 crores gross at the worldwide box office.
Now, coming to Yatra 2, the film was released on 8th February. Upon its release, the Telugu political drama opened to decent reviews from critics. However, the same couldn’t be reflected in numbers, and that’s why the film failed miserably.
As per the latest update, Yatra 2 did a business of 6.15 crores net at the Indian box office. In gross, it equals 7.25 crores. In the overseas market, the collection has been dismal, and the mark of even 1 crore gross is not crossed. So far, only 0.75 crore gross has been accumulated. Combining both, the film stands at 8 crores gross.
So, we can see both films have earned a cumulative business of 39.43 crores gross at the worldwide box office, and even getting to that 50 crore milestone looks like an impossible task now.
