Bramayugam, starring Mammootty, is taking small but steady steps in its journey at the worldwide box office. While the response in India is just about fair, the film is doing really well in the overseas market. In the latest development, it has now crossed the milestone of 50 crores gross on a global level, making it the second Malayalam film of 2024 to achieve this feat. Keep reading to know more!
Directed by Rahul Sadasivan, the horror-thriller is amongst the most appreciated Indian films of 2024. Right from direction and screenplay to performances, almost every section of the film is receiving praise. However, at ticket windows in India, the run has been fair to decent so far, with the number going below 1 crore on the second Thursday. During last weekend, a steady hold was seen, but a big jump was missing.
Bramayugam at the worldwide box office
During weekdays, Bramayugam yet again went below 1 crore. A steady trend is there, but the overall day-to-day collection is on the lower side. Speaking about the latest collection update, the film has completed a theatrical run of 13 days, and during this, it has earned 24 crores net at the Indian box office. In gross, it equals 28.32 crores.
In the overseas market, Bramayugam is enjoying a smooth ride with Mammootty displaying his star power outside India. So far, it has grossed 24.50 crores so far, which is surprisingly almost equal to the Indian gross collection. After combining both overseas and Indian collections (gross), the film stands at 52.82 crores gross.
Joins Premalu in achieving global milestone
By crossing 50 crores gross, Bramayugam has now joined Premalu to achieve the feat. For those who don’t know, Girish AD’s Premalu is the first Mollywood release of 2024 to enter the 50-crore club at the worldwide box office. It’s definitely some sort of achievement, and it’ll be interesting to see how far the film goes from here.

Apart from Mammootty, Bramayugam also stars Arjun Ashokan, Sidharth Bharathan, Amalda Liz, and Manikandan R. Achari in key roles. The film is in the black-and-white format, and recently, it was also released in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada languages due to public demand.
