Mammootty’s latest highly anticipated release, Bramayugam, will soon be completing a week in theatres and is on its way to emerge as a successful affair. There was a drop during weekdays, but it wasn’t that brutal, so there’s hope for healthy growth during the weekend. Here’s how much it has earned so far at the worldwide box office!
Bramayugam’s reception
Directed by Rahul Sadasivan, the latest Malayalam horror thriller was released in theatres on 15th February. Upon its release, the film opened to positive reviews from critics, and even word-of-mouth has been highly positive. After a good start, the film maintained a strong momentum over the weekend and witnessed a steady trend from Monday to Tuesday after a dip on Monday.
Bramayugam at the worldwide box office
The Mammootty starrer has completed a theatrical run of 6 days, and being a Thursday release, it will enjoy an extended week of 8 days. After the opening weekend, the film saw an expected fall on Monday, but there was a good hold from Monday to Tuesday, with less than 20% drop.
At the Indian box office, Bramayugam has earned 15.80 crores net. In gross, it equals 18.64 crores. While positive word-of-mouth is now coming into play in India, the magic of Mammootty’s stardom is already being witnessed in the overseas market. As per the latest update, the overseas collection is higher than the Indian collection, with 19 crores gross already being accumulated.
Combining both Indian and overseas gross, the film stands at 37.65 crores gross at the worldwide box office in the first 6 days. Before the end of the second weekend, the mark of 50 crores gross is expected to be crossed.

Apart from Mollywood legend Mammootty, Bramayugam also stars Arjun Ashokan, Sidharth Bharathan, Amalda Liz, and Manikandan R. Achari in key roles. It is backed by Night Shift Studios and YNOT Studios. The music is composed by Christopher Xavier.
