Housefull 3 has set itself well for a good second week run as well. The film brought in 6.25 crore more on Wednesday and as a result, it has now collected 74.88 crore. The Sajid Nadiadwala and Eros production is well set to surpass or at least come really close to the 80 crore total in its first week run.

For Akshay Kumar, this is yet another film in 2016 to do quite well, and remarkably both films belong to distinct genres. While Airlift was a dramatic affair, Housefull 3 is an out and out slapstick film which conveys a great deal about the versatility that the senior actor comes with.

To be flipping genres at such rapid pace and finding continued appreciation practically every quarter of the year is a feat that no other superstar in the country is enjoying today.

Meanwhile, Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan have kept their record intact of delivering big successes in multi-starrer flicks. They make for a good inclusion in a mix and add on to the star value that a film has to offer.
