Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor starrer, Aashiqui 2 has propelled itself way ahead on the Koimoi’s Top 10 Bollywood Movies list of 2013. While earlier this week, we informed you Aashiqui 2 propelled itself ahead of Ek Thi Daayan which earned a life time collection of 26 crores, this week the Mohit Suri directorial has climbed up and hurled itself ahead of Mid March’s courtroom satire Jolly LLB and David Dhawan’s successful comic caper Chashme Baddoor.
By the end of its first week, Aashiqui 2 has earned an approximate of 38.50 crores at the Domestic Box Office, which is more than the lifetime of collections of Jolly LLB whose income rests at 32 crores and Chashme Baddoor which raked up 38 crores nett.
Aashiqui 2 which now stands at number 7 on the list will expect major competition from this week’s release Shootout At Wadala, and might hence slow down in business. Though Aashiqui 2 for now might eye surpassing its immediate predecessor Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola which has earned a lifetime collection of 42 crores, it will be difficult given the film’s slowing pace at the domestic box office.
