Punjab Kings (formerly known as Kings XI Punjab) is one of the oldest teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The team was formed in 2008 and is owned by Preity Zinta, Mohit Burman, Ness Wadia and Karan Paul. So far, the team has never won an IPL trophy. However, Zinta’s team has often been praised for giving some memorable cricket moments.

Recently, Preity Zinta’s pictures from the Punjab Kings Vs Delhi Capitals match went viral on social media. The game was held at Punjab’s Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Cricket Stadium. The actress was dressed in stunning Indian wear and reminded many of her look as Zaara in Yash Chopra’s Veer Zaara, which also stars Shah Rukh Khan. Fans were happy to see the actress back at the stadium. But did you know that Preity once said that IPL doesn’t need her anymore?

In 2015, Preity Zinta joined as a judge for the dance reality show, Nach Baliye. In an interaction with IANS, the Kal Ho Naa Ho actress said that in 2008, she wanted to focus on cricket, and acting wasn’t her priority. She had just started a new business and wanted to give more team to her IPL team. Zinta was aware that her acting career would suffer, and she didn’t want to do films which would affect the production house or herself. Hence, she decided to focus on her growth and gave more time to cricket.

However, in 2015, when she joined Nach Baliye as the judge, Preity said, “IPL doesn’t need me anymore. Now I just have to come and watch the game. The business is doing well, the team is doing well. Things have fallen into place. Now, doing this (Nach Baliye) or movie sounds exciting to me because I’ve been away from them for some time. I’ve come back with a fresh perspective, and I’m in a different space. I never thought that I would be so excited about judging a dance reality show.”
