Malaika Arora is not ready to miss a single chance to make headlines for her personal and professional reasons. While the diva has been making waves with her stunning appearance at different events, she’s also in the news for her love affair with Arjun Kapoor. The ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’ girl, who turns a year older today, has received pleasant wishes from her close buddies in the industry and beau, Arjun. Before falling head-over-heels over with Kapoor, Malla was married to Arbaaz Khan.
For the unversed, Malla separated from Arbaaz, and both called it quits in 2017. While they continue to be good parents to their son Arhaan, she’s sharing her romantic space with the Ishaqzaade actor. In today’s throwback story, we will tell you about the time the actress revealed what transpired on the night before her divorce.
In 2019, Malaika Arora appeared on BFF Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Radio show What Women Want, where she spoke at length about her divorce from Arbaaz Khan after 18 years of marriage. The actress revealed that a night prior, she had taken the big step, her family sat with her and asked her to contemplate again. Further, she said that at the end of the day, somebody needs to be blamed.
During her appearance on the Radio show, Malaika Arora revealed, “Even the night before I got divorced, I had my family sit with me and ask me yet again, ‘Are you sure? Are you 100 per cent about your decision?’ So I think that was something I heard all along and rightly so. These are the people who worry and care so they will definitely say that. It’s never ever easy like no other major decision in your life and at the end of the day, someone has to be blamed. You always have to point fingers at someone. I think that’s the general human nature to go about things. It’s never easy, but the person that I am, for me happiness is the most important.”
“And it’s not just me is the happiness for everybody around. So even if it means that I have to make or take such a major decision in my life, of course, I didn’t do it alone. There are two people involved. And I think we eventually did think about a lot of things, we weighed every single pros and cons and then we decided that I think it’s better off that we go our separate ways because I think we’ll just be better people,” she had added further.
On the other hand, in her interview with a website, Malla had called her divorce from Arbaaz Khan the lowest and the most challenging phase of her life, where she turned towards Yoga and meditation.
This afternoon, Arjun Kapoor took to Instagram to drop an unseen photo with Malla to wish his girlfriend a happy birthday. Looking like a perfect couple, AK wrote in the caption box, “Happy Birthday Baby !!! This picture is us, You bring the smile, the joy, the light & I’ll always have your back even thru the chaos.” Reacting to the same, Malla dropped a comment and said, “Love you” to the actor.
