Like most Bollywood celebrities, Bebo adores Kapil. She has graced his comedy show to promote her multiple films, including Good Newwz, Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, and Singham Returns. In fact, a crossover has also happened, as Kareena invited the comedian last year to her chat show, What Women Want.
Kapil Sharma recalls embarrassing moment with Kareena Kapoor
Back in 2014, Kareena Kapoor Khan appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show for the promotions of Singham Returns alongside Ajay Devgn. Kapil recalled, “Mujhe ek moment yaad aa gaya, mai bada embarrass hua tha. Aapko pata nahi yaad hai ki nahi, kisi award function me, red carpet pe! (I got reminded of an embarrassing moment, I’m not sure if you remember!)”
Kareena Kapoor Khan looked confused and asked, “Konsa? (Which)” Kapil Sharma continued, “Mai nikal raha tha, Sonakshi (Sinha) khadi thi waha pe. Unhone mujhe rok liya, ki do minute, ek photo le lete hai sath me. Upar se Kareena aa gayi. (I was leaving when Sonakshi Sinha stopped me for a picture. On top of that, Kareena arrived.)
Kapil Sharma awkwardly rejects Kareena’s kiss
Kapil Sharma continued, “Inhone aake humse hello kia, maine kaha ‘hello kareena, kaisi hai aap?’ Unhone kuch toh kiya, kya bolte hai usko (greeting kiss). Meri kismat dekho mujhe saamne se aaisa ho raha hai aur inhone aise kiya toh mai aise ho gaya (moves away).”
As always, Kapil left the audience in splits with his revelation. He also revealed that he practiced the greeting method a lot of times at home. Bebo then gets up and asks him to show what he practiced. Take a look at the viral video below:
Kapil & Kareena on the professional front
On the professional front, the host is returning with The Great Indian Kapil Show, which will premiere on Netflix. His comedy comeback is extra special because he is reuniting with Sunil Grover. Kiku Sharda, Krushna Abhishek, and Archana Puran Singh are among the others who are a part of the cast.
On the other hand, Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set to entertain us on the big screens with The Crew, co-starring Kriti Sanon and Tabu. The film will hit the theatre screens on March 29, 2024.
