Gone are the days when you would classify Vidya Balan among the “plump” actresses. And you wouldn’t even think of her as the sexy one. But the winds of change have definitely made us very happy. Just chek out Vidya Balan on the cover of FHM India’s third anniversary November issue in an undraped saree.
Vidya Balan has brought sexy back with the saree in this backless photoshoot showing off her sculpted figure. Since we’ve seen her sticking to Sabyasachi sarees for quite some time now, we are pleasantly surprised to see her in a Sabyasachi again, sans the blouse.
In an interview to FHM magazine, Vidya said, “I’m glad people are getting bored of just seeing women in bikinis we’ve become very parochial about sexiness. I think the sari is by far the sexiest garment it covers the right amount, it exposes the right amount it’s such a tease and I like teasing.” We almost knocked our heads off nodding in agreement! (And with a body like that, who would disagree!)
No wonder then that Vidya was approached to play the role of one of South India’s biggest sex sirens, Silk Smitha. She is currently part of director Sujoy Ghosh’s thriller titled Kahaani.
