The actor who has so far starred in hits such as Main Tera Hero and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania is all set to shed his chocolate boy image in his next titled ‘Badlapur‘. Varun’s character in the film has grey shades and since the film has a few fight sequences too, the Dhawan lad has been preparing quite seriously for it.
While the film wrapped up with its last leg of shooting on Independence day, the shoot was quite painful for co-star Vinay Pathatk. Ask why? Well, for a certain scene, Varun was supposed to give Vinay a blow but the actor who seemed to have gone into the skin of the character punched Vinay so hard that it lead to a hairline fracture. The shoot had to be be put on hold as Vinay was rushed to hospital for the same. Interestingly, last time Nawazuddin Siddiqui too had suffered a similar fate during the shoot of an action scene for the same film.
Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the film also stars Huma Qureshi and Yami Gautam in lead roles.
