Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Ulja Jiya are churning out decent numbers at the box office despite the mixed reviews. The film is a romantic love story of a human falling in love with a robot. Produced by Maddock Films, it boasts seasoned actors like Dharmendra, Dimple Kapadia, Rakesh Bedi, and others.
But as always, the pay disparity between the male lead and female is quite evident, in fact unbelievable. Shahid Kapoor opted for a salary hike after Kabir Singh’s success and charged a whopping 31 crore for his film Jersey. However, he has taken a pay cut for TBMAUJ.
Coming to Kriti Sanon, the actress took 3 pay cuts in the last four years and was paid almost 3 crore for her stint as Devi Sita in Om Raut’s Adipurush. However, she was paid much better in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya than in her last film.

Shahid Kapoor’s Fee
Shahid Kapoor‘s fee is almost 232% higher than the paychecks of the entire cast combined. The actor has reportedly charged 24 crore for the film, less than his last release. In fact, he was paid a whopping 40 crore for his web series Bloody Daddy as well. Shahid’s fee for Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya is 2300% higher than Dharmendra’s and 500% higher than Kriti Sanon’s.
Kriti Sanon’s Fee
While Shahid Kapoor has been paid 6X times Kriti’s fee for the film, the actress has settled for 4 – 5 crore for the film as per a Filmibeat report. She, however, was charging almost 8 crore after her successful stint in Housefull 4 but had to take pay cuts with a string of flops.
Dharmendra’s Fee
The actor who was reportedly paid 1.5 crore for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has been paid 1 crore in the film. However, to watch a veteran actor like him on screen is priceless and cannot be compared.
Dimple Kapadia’s Fee
The actress who was paid 80 lakh to play Ranbir Kapoor‘s mother in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar has been paid 50 lakh to play the crucial role of a scientist in the film.
Other Starcast
Other stars in the film, Rakesh Bedi, Rajesh Kumar, Anubha Fatehpuria, and others, have charged somewhere between 12 – 20 lakh for the film.
Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya is running in the theaters, and the film has collected 17.52 crore in two days.
