The much hyped Salman Khan’s hit-and-run case of 2002 will now have a new turn of events. Out of the five witnesses of the case who had been in the hiding, three of them were to be produced in court today.
Salman has been charged under culpable homicide as he ran over workers sleeping on the pavement outside Bandra’s A 1 bakery.
The re-trial of this high profile case was scheduled for today. Samba Gowda, was the first witness who deposed in court today. The witness has confirmed of identifying all articles collected by Police including the number plate and glass pieces of the car. He informed prosecutor Jagannath Kenjalkar of a big car ramming into a laundry.
Other than Samba, two more witnesses were discharged after they had admitted to Panchnamas drawn by them.
While the previous proceedings of the case have gone undecided due to lack of witnesses, this trial was a crucial one.
