Salman Explains Why SRK’s Raees Release Was Postponed

Just when the excitement of fans of Salman Khan & Shah Rukh reached its peak, an announcement was made by the makers of Raees that it won’t clash with Sultan at the box office. The makers pushed the release date of Raees.

At a recent media interaction, when asked Salman whether SRK postponed the release of Raees due to Sultan, he said that he doesn’t think like that. Raees was pushed only because it was not ready then.

Salman further explained that in the current scenario, the system doesn’t support clashes of two big releases. The clash of two biggies would have been a huge loss for exhibitors and distributors of both the films.

Adding further he said, “We don’t have many theaters and screens to release two films together. We should have good number of screens to release two big films on the same date.”

Salman Khan’s Sultan is set to hit the screens on 6th July, 2016. The film also stars Anushka Sharma, Randeep Hooda and Amit Sadh in pivotal roles.
