Ranbir Kapoor Training To Be Director?

Very interested in the process of filmmaking, Ranbir Kapoor picked up a trick or two while shooting for Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti. The actor used to keep chatting up technicians and never gave any assistant any grief about remembering his continuity, always knowing what prop he had in what hand in the previous shot, so necessary for maintaining continuity.

Assistant directors don’t usually get to touch the camera, far from looking into the viewfinder. But Ranbir, who has previously worked as an assistant director on Aa Ab Laut Chalen and Black, finally got his hands on a real camera in one of the shots for Raajneeti and would look through it whenever he got a chance. What’s next – will the Kapoor scion revive his grandfather, showman Raj Kapoor’s RK banner? At least, he has been saying so!
