No Salman-Kareena In Karan’s ‘Shuddhi’

Shuddhi has been in the news umpteen times thanks to its casting issues. While the guess work continues, it is now confirmed that nor Salman Khan or Kareena Kapoor are a part of this ambitious project.

The film’s producer, Karan Johar at a recent event sarcastically conveyed to the media, that Shuddhi is being over hyped by them. Karan thanked the media for giving it more importance of over ‘national politics’.

Interestingly, there have been a string of celebrities who have been tagged with this project till date. The first choice for the film was Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor. However, after Hrithik walked out of the project, Kareena too moved forward.

Later there was buzz that the Ram Leela jodi, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were offered roles and more recently it was Salman Khan who was being highlighted as the lead for this project. Although we hear, he has still not been officially signed for this role.

Well, obviously there is no smoke to this fire and that the wait continues for an official confirmation on the cast of this much awaited film.
