Social activist Sampat Pal moved to Delhi High Court to obtain a restraining order on the release of Madhuri Dixit- Juhi Chawla starrer Gulaab Gang. The film which is up for release this Friday is directed by debutante Soumik Sena and produced by Anubhav Sinha. According to a popular news daily, the Delhi HC on Wednesday admitted Pal’s plea and consented that if the film is allowed to release it will cause irreparable damage to the reputation of Sampat Pal.

Sampat mentioned that the film is based on her life and asked for compensation claiming that the film will affect her reputation. The activist asked for blocking the release stating that the director did not seek permission from her before making the film.
