As a film producer, Ekta’s work includes Krishna Cottage, Shor in the City, Ragini MMS, Veere Di Wedding and Thank You for Coming, among many more. She’s also producing Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2, which is all set to release this year.
In an interview, the TV empress discussed receiving hate for her 2023 release, ‘Thank You For Coming.’ The film, starring Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaaz Gill, Sushant Divgikar, and Kusha Kapila, touches on the topic of female pleasure.
In an interview with Variety, Ekta Kapoor said that she felt strangely pained by the way the film was received in India compared to how it was appreciated overseas. The movie received good reviews when screened at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Kapoor stated, “And the hate spamming we went through – our walls used to be spammed every day with hatred, because we attempted to discover and make a movie on female sexuality. I can only imagine what’s gonna happen when LSD 2 comes. I think I’ll have to hide again.”
Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2, aka LSD 2, is a sequel to her 2010 film. The first film stars Amit Sial, Rajkummar Rao, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Neha Chauhan, Anshuman Jha, and Ashish Sharma.
