Tiger Zinda Hai is one of the best action films starring Salman Khan. The second film of Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe also stars Katrina Kaif in the lead role. The 2017 film is a sequel to Kabir Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger. What started as a cross-border love story between two spies turns into a duo fighting terrorists in the sequel directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.
After the events of Ek Tha Tiger, everyone wondered what exactly Tiger and Zoya were doing. Hence, Ali ensured the work knew that Salman’s Avinash Rathore, aka Tiger, was alive. He also showed us that he and Zoya are going strong together. No amount of hatred or attempts by their respective former colleagues could break them apart. Amidst all the action and terror, the Tiger and Zoya live some romantic moments together.
We see their love shine in the song Dil Diyan Gallan. Sung by Atif Aslam, it is one of the best romantic songs featuring the duo. The picturisation is also beautiful. But what if we tell you that a scene where Tiger draws a portrait of Katrina Kaif on the frozen lake is actually made by Salman Khan? Everyone knows that Khan is a good painter. So, he didn’t leave the chance to impress his leading lady with a beautiful portrait on the frozen lake in Austria, which also made it to the song.
Director Ali Abbas Zafar made this big revelation in an interview. The Sultan director told ANI that the song captures the beauty of a mature love story. He called it a classic Yash Chopra song. Zafar further revealed, “The biggest highlight in this song is the unique Katrina portrait that he has drawn on a frozen lake. We had to shoot on this lake, and Salman converted it to a canvas.”

In 2017, Yash Raj Films shared the pic on their social media page. They captioned, “Tiger freezes a moment in time, by painting Zoya’s portrait on ice.”
Meanwhile, Salman and Katrina reunited for Tiger 3, which Maneesh Sharma directed. The film received mixed reactions from the audience and critics. The threequel was the fifth movie from YRF’s Spy universe. The upcoming film in the Spy Universe is Hrithik Roshan’s War 2, Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan 2 and Salman and SRK’s Tiger V Pathaan.
