Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan passed away today (29th April). The 53-year old actor’s sudden demise has left the entire industry shocked and heartbroken. The Angrezi Medium actor was admitted in ICU due to colon infection, where he breathed his last.
Besides being a part of many Bollywood films, Irrfan Khan was also part of many television shows. When he moved to Mumbai to make a career in acting, the actor started with TV shows like Chanakya, Bharat Ek Khoj, Banegi Apni Baat, Chandrakanta and Darr, to name a few.
Interestingly, the actor was reluctant about featuring on TV, but his friend and co-actor in Chandrakanta, Shahbaaz Khan, pushed him to sign the series. He did as his friend said and earned recognition through the characters he portrayed on-screen.

Irrfan Khan not only proved his mettle on Indian television but was also part of HBO series In Treatment (an American TV series) where he played the role of Sunil and Tokyo Trial, a Japanese four-part historical drama miniseries, in which he was seen as Radhabinod Pal.
Sadly, Irrfan Khan was diagnosed with a rare type of Neuroendocrine tumour in 2018. He underwent chemotherapy and treatment in the US for the same, and recovered from it as well, but unfortunately fell prey to the colon infection and passed away.
