Abhishek Kapoor, the director of ‘Rock On!!’ won the case against Farhan Akhtar as the Bombay High Court ruled in his favor for demanding the joint writing credit with Pubali Chaudhuri for the second installment of ‘Rock On!!’. After the court’s decision, producers Farhan Akhtar and Riteish Sidhwani agreed to give the credit to Abhishek Kapoor
Filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor said that he was heart broken on not being given the writing credit of the second part of the film.
Abhishek quoted to a leading daily that, “I feel vindicated because this has been going on for a couple of years now. I have struggled with this, and eventually, I had to go to the court to get my credit. But now that it’s done, I’m feeling great. I had full faith in the country’s judiciary. I’m happy that they have given such an impeccable judgement. I’m also thankful to my lawyers who had faith in me, and who stood by me.”
This conflict began to rise when Pubali Chaudhuri registered the script of ‘Rock On!! 2’ with the Film Writer’s Association with only her name and denying the name of Abhishek Kapoor.
