After the success of Bhaiyya Ji, Manoj Bajpayee is set to return with his upcoming crime thriller, Despatch. The film’s recently released teaser is generating excitement among the audience. The teaser also revealed that the movie will premiere on a streaming platform in the second week of December 2024.

What to Expect from Despatch

The makers recently unveiled a one-minute-and-twenty-seven-second teaser on social media. This teaser offers a glimpse into an action-packed and suspenseful drama. The teaser opens with a hasty attack on Joy’s house, leaving him terrified as he sits down for a meal. Soon after this, he receives a call from an anonymous person warning him to abandon his investigation.

Further, the teaser also hints that the movie revolves around an ₹8,000 crore scam. This sets the stage for Joy’s relentless quest to uncover the truth behind it. However, his pursuit of the truth comes with high stakes.

Despatch is set to make surges on the OTT platform, and fans of Manoj Bajpayee won’t want to miss it. It will be available for streaming on ZEE5 starting December 13, 2024. Additionally, it offers fans the prospect to experience Bajpayee’s journey as a struggling journalist from the comfort of their homes.

About the Despatch

Kanu Behl has directed Despatch in collaboration with renowned producer Ronnie Screwvala. The film features Manoj Bajpayee as Joy Bag in the lead role. Other notable cast members include Arrchita Agarwaal, Purnendu Bhattacharya, Shahana Goswami, Anand Alkunte, Riju Bajaj, Arun Bahl, Abhishek Bhalerao, Ajoy Chakrabarty, Sainath Ganuwad, Chhabria Chiranjeet, Mishka Gambhir, Nitin Goel, and Ashok Kelkar in pivotal roles.

For those unaware, Despatch was one of the twelve films premiered at the MAMI Mumbai International Film Festival 2024. Lead actor Manoj Bajpayee shared his experience portraying a journalist in the film and collaborating with Behl. He said, “I have many very close friends who are investigative journalists from Delhi and Mumbai, people I have been meeting for many years to truly understand the nature of their job, the conflicts, and the dichotomy they live with.”
