The movie received mixed reviews, but critics praised the actors’ performances. However, it was criticized for its plot and lack of depth. For the record, the film was written and directed by Kayoze Irani, and it is his directorial debut.

Kajol and Ibrahim Ali Khan-starrer Sarzameen streaming on JioHotstar generated 1.4 million in its third week 3. According to Ormax Media‘s data from August 4-10, the film has dropped to #4 in the top 5 most-watched films on OTT in India. It was at #1 last week. The film has witnessed a steep decline in viewership by 71% from last week.
Less than 2 million away from beating Dhoom Dhaam as the #2 most-viewed OTT original film of the year!
Kajol’s film has garnered 10.7 million views in three weeks. It is the 3rd most-viewed OTT original film of 2025. The film now needs fewer than 2 million views to dethrone Dhoom Dhaam from the #2 spot. As the film has witnessed such a harsh drop, it is unlikely that it will be able to beat Dhoom Dhaam.
