Beyhadh: Jennifer Winget Doesn’t Care About Not Receiving Awards For Her Portrayal As ‘Maya’

Though Jennifer Winget has been a part of the industry for a while now, the actress garnered newfound stardom by becoming a household name with her portrayal of the gritty ‘Maya’ in Sony TV’s romantic thriller, Beyhadh.

While fans may have heaved love and appreciated Jennifer for her performance, the actress did not manage to bag any awards of her performance. And now, as the Dil Mil Gaye actress gears up for the second season of the show, titled as Beyhadh 2, she opens up about why she chooses to play the part yet again despite not being lauded by trophies.

Answering about the same to Pinkvilla, Jennifer has been quoted saying that she feels very satisfied playing the character of Maya. She further said, “Not just because the character is appreciated. When I first heard the narration of the show, I had said that I have to do this. Whether it works or not, I have to do it because it is very rare that women get opportunities to play a complex character. No awards or rewards, it is just that this beautiful character I have got to play and I will play it again and again.”
