After winning hearts during the theatrical run, Teja Sajja’s HanuMan is all set to entertain audiences on the small screen. Yes, you read that right! The film is arriving soon on the OTT platform and is expected to garner attention upon its digital release, too. On the other hand, Ashok Selvan and Shanthanu Bhagyaraj’s Blue Star is also arriving on OTT. Keep reading to know more!
HanuMan’s glorious box office run
During the Sankranti festive season, we saw a high-voltage box office clash between the Teja Sajja starrer and Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram. Initially, as expected, Mahesh Babu’s film was in the lead due to its solid pre-release buzz and higher screen count. However, the tables were turned completely just a few days after the release.
HanuMan did a business of 200.10 crores net at the Indian box office, as per the last update. Globally, it raked in a whopping 293.11 crores gross. It emerged as the first Indian blockbuster of 2024 and is still running in theatres at selected locations.
As per reports, HanuMan was supposed to arrive on the OTT platform within four weeks of its release. However, due to the impressive run in theatres, the OTT arrival of the film was delayed. Now, if reports are to be believed, the Teja Sajja starrer is all set to premiere on Zee5, 2nd March onwards. It is said that the film will be available for viewing in multiple languages.

Directed by Prasanth Varma, HanuMan also stars Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Samuthirakani, Vinay Rai, and Vennela Kishore. It was produced by K. Niranjan Reddy and released in theatres on 12th January.
Reception of Blue Star
Upon its release, Blue Star received generally positive reviews from critics, and it did fair business at the Indian box office. Domestically, the film did a business of around 9 crores net, which equals 10.62 crores gross. It managed to emerge as a decent affair commercially as the budget was controlled and said to be around 7 crores.
When & where to watch Blue Star
After a successful run in theatres, the Tamily sports drama is set to arrive on Tentkotta and will be available for streaming from 29th February onwards. Making it official, the platform tweeted, “BLUE STAR vs ALPHA BOYS… #Bluestar is a powerful statement of equality, Meet the Boys on Tentkotta from Feb 29.”
Directed by S. Jayakumar, Blue Star stars Ashok Selvan, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Keerthi Pandian, and others in key roles. It was produced by Pa. Ranjith, R. Ganesh Murthy, and G. Soundarya. The film was released in theatres on 25th January.
