Actor and director Sean Penn is a married man again for the third time, and fans are so happy for him. Even though Sean hid the news of his wedding, the actor’s friend, Irena Medavoy, revealed the same on social media.
The 59-year-old actor tied up with his 28-year-old bride Leila George, in a secret wedding. Taking to Instagram, Irena posted a picture of the couples gorgeous rings over the weekend.
Finally, after four years of dating, Sean Penn and Leila George took their relationship to the next step. While Penn’s representative did not comment, on Monday in Late Night with Seth Meyers, the Oscar winner confirmed that he and George had a very private wedding ceremony at their home last Thursday.
After flashing his new wedding band to host Seth Meyers, Penn said, “Yes, we did a COVID wedding. By that, I mean it was a county commissioner on Zoom, and we were at home, my two. The child and his brother, and we did so. ”
While many weddings are getting cancelled or postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, Sean Penn and Leila George pulled it off with a very intimate COVID wedding, and they did not have a problem with it at all.
Meyers, who shared that he had a “very large wedding” himself, told Penn that his pandemic wedding “actually sounds pretty nice and low stress,” to which Penn replied, “Let’s say there are socially liberating factors under COVID.”
