Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Hollywood entry has made a loud buzz across the globe. Today, the big news is that the Royal couple has signed a multiyear deal with Netflix. The move is to produce scripted series, docu-series, features, documentaries, and children’s programming. Below are all the details about the deal.
The big news was announced by the royal couple itself. The two made their Netflix collaboration public on Wednesday. Though there is no revelation about the money involved in this massive deal, experts are sure it has to be a whopping amount.
Talking about the content on the yet unnamed company, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and Ted Sarandos, co-CEO and chief content officer of Netflix, said that they will create content with a wide range that resonates personally with the two.
“Our lives, both independent of each other, and as a couple have allowed us to understand the power of the human spirit: of courage, resilience, and the need for connection,” Prince Harry and Meghan Markle said in the statement as per USA Today.
“Through our work with diverse communities and their environments, to shining a light on people and causes around the world. Our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope. As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us, as is powerful storytelling through a truthful and relatable lens. We are pleased to work with Ted and the team at Netflix whose unprecedented reach will help us share impactful content that unlocks action,” Prince Harry and Meghan Markle added.
The report suggests that there are already projects under their banner in works. There is a nature docu-series and an animated film that celebrates women.
