Rapper Boosie Badazz earlier this year made headlines after he made transphobic and homophobic comments about Dwyane Wade’s transgender child, Zaya Wade. Now, after several months, the rapper has finally issued an apology at Mike Tyson’s podcast.

Boosie found himself in the hot seat when appeared on Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson. Close to 10 minutes of his appearance, the host cornered the rapper and asked him why he felt the need to get involved in a conversation that had nothing to do with him. The rapper also admitted that he has a tendency to run his mouth at the expense of other people’s feelings and offered an apology for his comments he made about Dwayne Wade’s child, Zaya.

Tyson confronted the rapper by asking, “How do you feel about hurting other people’s feelings? You offended a lot of people, talk about gay muthaf*ckas and homos and fa**ots.” Boosie immediately agreed that he often says too much and replied, “No, a lot of times I need to shut the f*ck up. My mama got on my ass yesterday, told me I need to ‘Shut the f*ck up’. But when it be on my heart, I feel like I gotta say something.”
