From The Incredible Hulk to Avengers: Endgame, Bruce Banner and Hulk have been through a lot. The role of the giant green superhero was first played by Edward Norton. However, due to creative differences, Marvel replaced him with Mark Ruffalo. Mark entered the MCU as Hulk in 2012 film, The Avengers.
Last year in Endgame, we got to see Smart Hulk. After having issues in Avengers: Infinity War, Bruce Banner found a balance that could help him explore both the personalities. But that wasn’t the case always. From the first film to Infinity War, the two had a lot of disagreements. In fact, they even expressed their dislikeness towards each other in a subtle way.
In Thor: Ragnarok, we got to see how Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk tells Chris Hemsworth’s Thor that people on Earth don’t like him. So he doesn’t want to return to Earth. It means the giant green Avenger always knew that Earth preferred Bruce Banner over him. That was the only time Hulk expressed his issues openly.
