Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt made a dreamy pair. The couple dated for years before finally getting hitched in 2014. It was their 6 children who insisted them to tie the knot. Little did they know that things would soon turn upside down. There have been many reported reasons behind their split, but none were confirmed.
Many say that Brad’s altercation with the eldest son Maddox during a private jet pushed Angelina to take this step. Fans would know that the father-son duo never was on good terms. Even till date, they’re not in talking terms with each other. While the divorce was filed in 2016 itself, some paper works are yet to be done. So the finalization is yet pending.
Now, as per the latest reports, Angelina Jolie has requested the private judge to be removed. According to a filing in Los Angeles Superior Court, the Maleficent actress claims that Judge John W. Ouderkirk has not disclosed his relations with Brad Pitt’s former attorney.
The filing states the private judge has “failed to disclose the cases that demonstrated the current, ongoing, repeat-customer relationship between the judge and Respondent’s counsel.”
Furthermore, Angelina Jolie claims that Brad Pitt’s attorney “actively advocated for Judge Ouderkirk’s financial interests in moving — over the opposing party’s opposition — to have his appointment (and his ability to continue to receive fees) extended in a high profile case.”
Angelina and Brad alike many celebrity couples have hired a private judge to keep their matters behind the curtains.
Angelina Jolie has also stated in her filing that “it doesn’t matter if Judge Ouderkirk is actually biased. Under California law disqualification is required so long as a person aware of the facts ‘might reasonably entertain a doubt’ about Judge Ouderkirk’s ability to remain impartial.”
Meanwhile, Brad Pitt, on the other hand, has insisted on keeping Judge John W Ouderkirk.
