The former lovers had a very ugly public breakup, and it was all over the news. Brad was accused of physical abuse against Angelina, and the plane incident played a vital part in their divorce. The actress’ legal team has now claimed that Pitt showcased physical abuse towards Jolie before the infamous plane incident.
Before being with Jolie, Pitt was married to Friends star Jennifer Aniston. Jolie and Pitt share six kids, including their biological children. Jolie revealed suffering from Bell’s Palsy while heading towards divorce from the celebrated actor.
According to a new court filing as per People, Angelina Jolie accused Brad Pitt of being abusive towards her even before the 2016 plane incident that led the actress to file for divorce. The new claims are part of the ongoing legal battle over the Chateau Miravel, the French Winery. Jolie’s lawyers filed a motion on Thursday, April 4, asking to release communications proving that the actor would not let his ex sell her share of the asset to him unless she agreed to a more demanding and expansive NDA.
Angelina Jolie’s lawyer, Paul Murphy, in a statement issued to Page Six, revealed, “Mr. Pitt refused to purchase Ms. Jolie’s interest when she would not be silenced by his NDA.”
Murphy continued, “By refusing to buy her interest but then suing her, Mr. Pitt put directly at issue why that NDA was so important to him and what he hoped it would bury his abuse of Ms. Jolie and their family.” As per the new filings, Jolie never pressed charges against Brad Pitt as she believed that it was best for her ex to take responsibility and help the family recover from the post-traumatic stress he caused.

As per reports, Brad Pitt led Jolie to the back of the plane, grabbed her by the head and shoulders, and shook her while shouting that she was messing up their family. He also allegedly punched the plane’s ceiling four times. Two of their kids were terrified as they cried and asked her whether she was okay. Pitt was also accused of pouring beer on Jolie while she was under a blanket with their kids.
