After an ordinary opening day, it was quite important for Wazir to grow well on the second day. However, mixed reviews and audience word of mouth meant that this was always going to be a tad tough for the film to show a phenomenal jump. Piku, Amitabh Bachchan’s last film, had grown from strength to strength with every passing day and a repetition of the same was needed for Wazir.
Though it it too early to say if Wazir would show similar phenomenal growth, considering the fact that audience response has been mixed, there was some growth on the second day of the film, with around 7.16 crore coming in. The film now stands at the 12.73 crore mark and the way it is going, the weekend should end over the 21 crore mark.

Last year, even though Piku had opened to a lower number (5.2 crore), the weekend was quite strong with 25.22 crore coming in. That is quite tough though to come by for the Bejoy Nambiar film.

The film has to show a good growth on Sunday though and then it has to be seen how the weekdays perform.
