Warner Bros.’ Unknown edged out Gnomeo & Juliet by a very narrow margin to top the North American box-office chart. It collected $25.5 million in the four-day weekend.
Walt Disney’s ‘Gnomeo & Juliet’ added $24.8 million to its kitty in its second weekend. It moved one step up, to no. 2, and took its total to $55.8 million.
Walt Disney’s I Am Number Four debuted at no. 3 with a less-than-impressive collection of $22.6 million.
At no. 4 was Columbia’s Just Go With It. Falling three places, it add- ed $21.7 million in its second week- end so that its total went up to $64.3 million.
The fifth film in the Top 5 chart was another new entry – Twentieth Century Fox’s Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son. It collected $19 million in its debut weekend.
