Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia, and Aishwarya Ojha starrer The Kerala Story 2 is benefiting from the absence of releases in Bollywood. Most competitors are steering clear of the Dhurandhar 2 storm. Unfortunately, Kamakhya Narayan Singh‘s directorial was badly affected in the last leg of its box office run. Scroll below for the day 35 update!

How much has The Kerala Story 2 earned in 5 weeks?

According to estimates, The Kerala Story 2 collected 2 lakh on day 35 of its box office run in India. It is adding moolah on the lower end, amid limited screens due to the dominance of Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2. However, there’s no other competition, which is helping it drive footfalls and enjoy a longer than expected run.

The cumulative total at the Indian box office reaches 51.97 crore after 35 days. Including GST, the gross earnings come to 61.32 crore. The postponement of Akshay Kumar’s Bhoot Bangla may help Vipul Amrutlal Shah‘s production run for another week in theatres.

Check out the day-wise box office breakdown in India (net collection) below:

  • Week 1 – 22.9 crore
  • Week 2 – 16.97 crore
  • Week 3 – 10.92 crore
  • Week 4 – 87 lakh
  • Week 5 – 31 lakh

Total – 51.97 crore

The Kerala Story 2 is a box office success!

The Kerala Story sequel is reportedly mounted on a decent budget of 28 crore. The makers have made returns of 23.97 crore so far. As per Koimoi’s parameters, a film gains the hit tag once it earns double the investment. That feat would be out of reach for the Hindi drama.

The Kerala Story 2 is a plus affair but not a box office hit. It has gained profits of 85.60% in 5 weeks.

The Kerala Story 2 Box Office Day 35 Summary

  • Budget: 28 crore
  • India net: 51.97 crore
  • ROI: 85.60%
  • India gross: 61.32 crore
