Stree 2 is having a phenomenal run at the box office, having entered 400 crore worldwide. The film had a three-way clash between Vedaa and Khel Khel Mein but crushed the other two. But the impact of this clash has started a strange buzz around another upcoming clash between two biggies – Bhool Bhulaiyaa VS Singham 3! Speculations were rife that this clash might not see the light of the day, and social media was buzzing with bizarre theories!
Singham Again NOT Postponed?
Looking at the best time for horror comedies, social media was speculating that Rohit Shetty might rethink releasing the next installment of the Cop Universe on Diwali since it means a horrific clash with the horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Kartik Aaryan’s film arrives on November 1, 2024, and a clash would mean both films will be impacted!
But Rohit Shetty’s spokesperson officially confirmed to Koimoi that Singham Again is arriving on Diwali 2024 and that there are no further changes in the release date of the film! This finally puts an end to the social media rumors that were hoping to avert the Bhool Bhulaiya 3 and Singham threequel clashing at the box office on Diwali.
The bizarre rumor started with speculation about a Hindi biggie targetting Dussehra as its release date. And the concerned fans thought it might be a hint for Singham Again rethinking upon its release date. Starring Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff & Arjun Kapoor, the Rohit Shetty film was supposed to release on August 15 but got postponed to Diwali. The speculations suggested it might opt out of clashing with Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and occupy Dussehra! But now Rohit Shetty Pictures’ spokesperson confirmed to Koimoi that the Cop Universe threequel arrives on Diwali 2024!
Moving From One Clash To Other – Not Logical!
While social media speculated Singham Again might occupy Dussehra release date, it would have meant another clash with Alia Bhatt’s Jigra along with two South biggies, Vettaiyan and Kanguva. Out of this lot, Kanguva marks Bobby Deol’s debut in the South. It did not sound logical since it would mean the Cop Universe moves from one clash, only to land another clash! Only an official announcement could have clarified all these speculations and rumors, and Rohit Shetty Pictures canceled all the rumors with just one confirmation!
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 VS Singham Again
Stree 2, directed by Amar Kaushik & produced by Dinesh Vijan, has earned 423.20 crore worldwide and 307.80 crore in India. This path-breaking success solidifies the fact that this year is for Horror and horror comedies. While horror films like Shaitaan and Demonte Colony 2 fared well, Munjya and Aranmanai 4 – horror comedies worked like magic. But, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will have to fight it out with Singham Again since the Cop Universe itself is ready to take its total to 1000 crore cumulative with the third instalment of the Singham franchise! And looking at the audience trends, both film seem to bring the biggest Diwali record together!
