Skyfall opened pretty well at the Indian Box office on Thursday. The opening day collections were in the range of 5.75 Crores plus. James Bond, it seems has a good fan following in India. The collections were huge in South India especially owing to holidays in few areas.
Areas like Kerela, Mysore and Nizam had pretty high footfall and thus good box office collections. Out of the total collections on Day 1 about 50% was from South India. The movie however, did not do pretty well in the mass Hindi belts. Mumbai was decent with 1.50 Crores. The movie is sure to face considerable competition from this week’s releases Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana and 1920 – Evil Returns.
