Dhanush’s directorial Idli Kadai is managing to stay at the box office, churning out low numbers. In a week, the film has managed to register a total net collection of 41.6 crore in India, with a gross collection of 58.08 crore worldwide. The film has earned a gross collection of 9 crore overseas.
Dhanush Heading Towards Loss?
Dhanush‘s film has reportedly been made on a budget of 100 crore and is recovering only 41.6% of its budget. The film is definitely heading towards a loss of at least 20 – 25 crore in lifetime, that too, if the film manages to get almost 20 crore more at the box office!
Idli Kadai Worldwide Box Office Beats Maaman
While the film has no major achievements at the box office, it surely has surpassed the lifetime collection of the most profitable Tamil film of 2025. Currently, Maaman is the most profitable Tamil film of 2025, earning 38.9 crore net in India and 47.03 crore gross worldwide against a budget of 10 crore. Idli Kadai has surpassed the lifetime global earnings of Maaman at the box office!
