Welcome Back, sequel of 2007 hit ‘Welcome’ has received an exceptional response at the Box Office after its release in its opening weekend. The slapstick comedy which comprises of ensemble star cast like John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Shruti Haasan, Naseeruddin Shah, Shiney Ahuja, Paresh Rawal & Dimple Kapadia raked in 51 crores in their opening weekend which is commendable. The film scored 3rd Highest weekend collection after Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Brothers.

According to Distributors across the country, the film will continue with its good pace and remain steady during the weekdays as the audiences are enjoying this laughter riot. It’ll be even more interesting to see how Welcome Back will perform after the release of Salman Khan’s home production, Hero which marks the debut of Sooraj Pancholi & Athiya Shetty. Hero is slated to release this Friday.

Here’s what Distributors are saying about the film’s performance so far:

Ajay Pal From Bangalore –

The film has raked around 51 crores in weekend. In Bangalore, it was bit low on Friday, but showed tremendous growth on Saturday & Sunday. The release of ‘Hero’ should not affect ‘Welcome Back’ much as they both are different genres & caters to different target audience.

Brijesh Tandon From Delhi –

‘Welcome Back’ opened very well on Friday. The occupancy of Saturday was better than Friday & the footfall grew on Sunday even more. The film has raked around 10 crore plus from Delhi-UP circuit. We are expecting good initials from ‘Hero’ too which might affect the business of ‘Welcome Back’.

Sanjay Ghai From Delhi-UP Circuit –

The film will remain steady during the weekdays but we are expecting the opening of ‘Hero’ with good numbers.

A Distributor From Mumbai –

The film has scored well in the weekend & will stay steady during the weekdays. I feel, the release of ‘Hero’ might affect the business of Welcome Back.
