Surrounded by quite the hype, Highway had a reasonable start in metros. The film opened at an average of 20-25% occupancy across the country. The film will need to witness double the footfall it received to reach a desirable total. Highway’s performance at multiplexes has been decent but the same cannot be said about single screen theaters. An increase in the occupancy, towards late evening shows can be expected if Highway creates enough buzz through positive word of mouth publicity.
