Fighter has managed to make an entry in the 200 crore club at the Indian box office, and the feat was accomplished on Monday. Amid the underperformance, that’s certainly a bright spot, and by crossing the 200 crore mark, Hrithik Roshan has seen a surge in the Koimoi Star Ranking and is just 300 points away from Aamir Khan. What is Koimoi Star Ranking?
For the unversed, in Koimoi’s Star Power Index, aka Star Ranking, actors are allotted points based on their films (Bollywood/Hindi) in the coveted box office clubs like 100 crore club, 200 crore club, and many more. For example, 100 points are given for a film in the 100 crore club, and so on. 50 points each is given for a film in the top 10 overseas grossers.
Hrithik Roshan gains 100 points!
Vikram Vedha was a debacle at the Indian box office, but with Fighter, he has found some sort of momentum. With this magnum opus, he became the 8th actor in the Koimoi Star Ranking to hit the milestone of 1000 points. And now, with the film entering the 200 crore club at the Indian box office, he has gained 100 more points in the points table.
Hrithik Roshan currently holds the 7th spot in Star Ranking, and his tally stands at 1100 points. With this new addition, Hrithik is just 300 points away from Aamir Khan. Aamir currently stands at 1400 points. Reportedly, Aamir will be coming with his Sitaare Zameen Par this year, and that film, if it turns out to be good, might add some points to Aamir’s tally, thus increasing the gap between his and Hrithik’s points. What’s next for Hrithik Roshan?
Hrithik Roshan will be next seen in War 2, which is scheduled to release next year. So till then, he’ll stay at 1100 points as Fighter has slowed down and won’t be entering the 300 crore club at the Indian box office.
